Q: What is a comprehensive assessment?
A: Comprehensive assessment is a combination of verbal and written tests given to our students at their first visit.
Q: What things do you learn about a student when they take a comprehensive assessment?
A: Our comprehensive assessment helps us identify the student's skill level in math, which concepts need more work on, and which have been already mastered.
Q: What is a customized learning plan?
A: “Sally loved Multiplication but Factoring, Fractions and Percents were frustrating to her. Her Instructor, Norberto, customized a learning plan to reinforce skills that allow her to be as confident with those topics as she is with multiplication.”
Q: How do you gauge progress?
A: Before the topic is marked mastered on the student's learning plan, we administer a Mastery Check page, which is essentially a quiz on the topic they just learned. Not only that, every level the students complete, we administer a test on to ensure retention of all the topics they learned in that level.
