Mathnasium of Westwood invites students in Westwood who are performing at or above grade level to explore our personalized math enrichment programs.
From deepening understanding of current topics to preparing for accelerated programs, tests, and competitions, our program gives students the structure, challenge, and support they need to reach their full potential.
Our math enrichment program is built on the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that develops deep conceptual understanding and mathematical confidence.

Every student's math enrichment journey begins with a diagnostic assessment that allows us to understand their current skills, strengths, and goals. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that goes beyond the school curriculum and is tailored to where they want to go.
Whether they're ready to explore advanced algebra, geometry, or number theory, we map out a clear path forward that keeps them challenged, engaged, and growing.

For the past 15+ years, I’ve worked as an educator in the U.S. and abroad, including in Africa and the UAE, supporting students as a social, emotional, academic, university, career, and well-being counselor. I’m passionate about partnering with children and families to provide thoughtful, individualized support through counseling, advocacy, and strategic planning.
I hold bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Mount Saint Mary’s University and a Master of Science in Educational Counseling from National University in Los Angeles, and I’ve continued my education through doctoral-level coursework in Clinical Psychology. I’m also a proud mom of three adult children, which deeply shapes how I approach working with students and families. I’m excited to build on Mathnasium of Westwood’s strong legacy in the West Los Angeles area and remain committed to our mission of Changing Lives Through Math.

We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach built around personalized instruction, diagnostic assessments, and interactive, engaging learning experiences.
Every student starts with a diagnostic assessment so we can get a clear picture of their current skills, strengths, and goals. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that pushes them forward through advanced concepts at a pace that keeps them appropriately challenged and motivated.
Sessions are delivered through live, face-to-face instruction in a supportive environment, either in person at our Westwood center or online.
Yes. At Mathnasium of Westwood, we understand that potential and current grade level do not always align. If a student is motivated and curious about math but has not yet reached grade level, our tutors can work with them to strengthen their foundation while gradually introducing enrichment-level thinking and challenges.
The diagnostic assessment allows us to understand exactly where your student is in their math journey, including their current strengths, areas ready for deeper exploration, and enrichment goals.
We use these insights to create a personalized learning plan that provides the right level of challenge from day one, so students feel motivated and appropriately stretched from the very first session.
Absolutely! While our enrichment instruction typically goes beyond grade-level material, our tutors understand the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and can align personalized learning plans with each student's school curriculum and long-term academic goals, including:
Moving into accelerated or honors math tracks
Preparing for advanced courses such as Algebra, Geometry, or beyond
Building skills needed for school placement exams
Supporting key academic transitions, such as from middle to high school math
