Barry Weiss

Director of Operations and Marketing

Barry is a former Mathnasium Franchise Advisory Council Member. He is co-owner of the center with his wife Lorye. Before joining Mathnasium, Barry was a Senior Vice President at Sony and is a current Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In both endeavors, he created new curriculum and learning models for the Film Industry. Formally shifting to academia, Barry recently published the well reviewed college textbook "Filmmaking in Action". In his philanthropic work Barry served as President of the Board of Director's of one of Los Angeles most prestigious K-8 private schools. He has his Bachelors Degree from Northwestern University School of Communications and his Masters Degree from USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Lorye Weiss

Director of Parent and Student Relations

Lorye is MASTER CERTIFIED by Mathnasium. She is Co-Owner of the Center with her husband Barry. At the Center, Lorye specializes in teaching our "Great Foundations" program and is our "Ninja Master Marketer". She is an accomplished and published chef and the mother of four boys (all of whom had the privilege of being tutored by Larry Martinek, before he created the highly successful Mathnasium system). She began her professional career as a preschool teacher and is a graduate of UCLA Lorye is a Sherman Oaks native, growing up and educated in Sherman Oaks where she still lives!

Instructors

Our instructors are fully background checked. They receive initial and continued instruction in the Mathnasium method. Our kids love them and so will you. Many are Honors/AP students or attend local Universities like UCLA
