We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines assessment-based personalized learning plans with proven interactive techniques to build the mathematical understanding students need to perform well on any exam.
Rather than drilling test-taking tactics, our tutors help students truly grasp the concepts they'll be tested on. Paired with proprietary test prep materials, this approach develops the problem-solving skills and confidence that lead to meaningful, lasting improvement.
Students begin their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that helps us pinpoint their current skill level, knowledge gaps, and exam goals. Using these insights, we design a personalized learning plan that targets exactly what each student needs to work on.
Tutors follow each plan closely, reinforcing understanding and introducing new material gradually. As students build skills and fill knowledge gaps, their confidence grows alongside their readiness, so they arrive at their exam prepared to do their best.

At Mathnasium of Beach Blvd, we think the most effective exam preparation happens well before test day through consistent math practice and a deep understanding of the material.
Each student starts with a diagnostic assessment that gives us a clear picture of their current skill level and any gaps in their knowledge. We use those insights to build a personalized learning plan that strengthens math skills steadily over time, so students aren't caught off guard when exams roll around.
Our specially trained tutors work with students across all K–12 math subjects, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond, reinforcing school concepts, addressing foundational gaps, and building the problem-solving skills that carry students through quizzes, midterms, and final exams alike.
As a specific exam approaches, we can direct instruction toward the topics it will cover, giving students the targeted preparation they need to walk in with confidence.
Mathnasium of Beach Blvd prepares students for the math portions of the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST).
Our tutors align instruction with Florida's B.E.S.T. (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking) Mathematics Standards, making sure students have a solid command of the grade-level concepts they'll face on test day. We use a diagnostic assessment to identify each student's specific gaps and create a personalized learning plan designed to help them reach, and surpass, grade-level expectations.
As early as possible. The FAST assessment reflects math skills and knowledge built up over the full school year, so students who receive consistent support throughout the year are far better positioned than those who try to prepare in the final weeks.
Ideally, students should start working with us at the beginning of the school year or semester. That gives our tutors time to identify gaps, strengthen foundational skills, and build steady momentum toward grade-level mastery before the exam arrives.
Already closer to test day? We can still help. Get in touch and we'll design a focused plan around the time your student has.
Yes, Mathnasium of Beach Blvd prepares high school students for the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors draw on proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to develop the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best. Whether your student is testing for the first time or aiming to raise their score, we build a preparation plan around their current skills and their goals.
We suggest starting at least three to six months before the exam, and giving yourself even more time is always worthwhile.
College admissions math tests span a wide range of content, from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Starting well in advance allows students to work through knowledge gaps methodically, get comfortable with exam-style questions, and build the confidence that comes from being thoroughly prepared.
For students who have significant gaps in foundational math, beginning the process in middle school or early high school sets them up for the strongest possible outcome when test prep begins in earnest.
If the exam is coming up sooner than expected, reach out and we'll put together a plan that makes the most of the time available.
Math test prep at Mathnasium of Beach Blvd is offered as part of a flat monthly membership fee, with pricing depending on your student's individual plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, contact our center at (904) 619-1048 or [email protected]. We're happy to walk you through the options and help you find a plan that fits your student's needs and your family's budget.
Mathnasium of Beach Blvd is an approved provider for the Step Up for Students FES-UA and New Worlds scholarship programs. If your family participates in either program, please contact us to learn how your scholarship funds can be applied toward your child's Mathnasium membership.
The right number of sessions depends on your student's starting point, the exam they're preparing for, and the time available before test day.
As a general guideline, students preparing for the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® typically attend two sessions per week over three to six months. For the FAST assessment or school-based exams, the preparation window may be shorter, depending on where the student stands and what they need to cover.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear sense of what your student needs and can suggest a session schedule that gives them the best chance at success.
Yes, students can join live, face-to-face online sessions with our specially trained tutors and work through the same personalized learning plan they would follow in the center. The quality of instruction and the level of individual attention are the same whether students attend in person or online.
Not when it comes to instruction. Both formats deliver the same personalized learning plan, face-to-face guidance, and attentive support from our tutors. Families often find that blending in-center and online sessions offers the flexibility needed to stay consistent through busy schedules and busy exam seasons.
Our tutors are well-versed in Florida's B.E.S.T. Mathematics Standards and familiar with the expectations of schools in Jacksonville's Southside and Beach corridor.
When it's helpful, we align personalized learning plans with state standards and individual school goals, keeping students on track for both classroom success and strong performance on assessments like FAST, the SAT®, and beyond.
Getting started is straightforward! Call us at (904) 619-1048, email [email protected], or schedule a free assessment online.
During the assessment, we'll get a clear picture of your student's current math skills, identify any knowledge gaps, and learn about their exam goals, everything we need to build a personalized learning plan designed around them.
Most students are ready to jump into their first test prep sessions within just a few days of completing the assessment.
