Q: How do you know what kind of math students in your center/re need to be taught?
A: We use our comprehensive assessments to create a customized learning plan for each student that enrolls with us. This allows us to focus on only the material that students don't know, and we don't have to spend time covering material they already know. On top of that, we do regular checks to make sure that the learning plan stays current and up-to-date.
Q: Why do students need to take tests?
A: Tests, both at school and Mathnasium, are ways to learn what our students understand and what we don't. At Mathnasium, we follow up on what they don't know, focus on that, and help build both their knowledge and their confidence.
Q: Can Mathnasium help students prepare for their tests in math class?
A: We can absolutely help with math tests in class! When students come in and let us know that they have a test they really need to study for, we can tailor their work to focus on the necessary topics. Getting the extra practice at Mathnasium lets them clarify any questions they might have, as well as, build up the confidence that they truly understand the topic, and can go into the test feeling confident!
Q: What about College Placement Tests?
A: Mathnasium can cover all of the material that is found on the ACT and SAT. We can make sure that they understand the material before they go in for the big test.
