Q: What makes Mathnasium different from other tutoring centers?
A: Mathnasium is a math-only learning center where we focus on making math make sense to our students. Instead of a lot of memorization, we aim for understanding and encouraging students to try things on their own. We love building confidence and making sure our students have fun while learning!
Q: Why would you encourage parents to consider Mathnasium?
A: We work students at the pace that they are in, and give them as much support as they need. Everything we do is customized for each student, and we have no problem spending more time on a topic if they are still struggling. We are also big into making math as much fun as possible, and that includes rewards that our students can earn!
Q: How often do students get re-assessed?
A: We give our students a Progress Check after every 9 topics they complete. This serves as check in to make sure students are both retaining the information we taught them so far, as well as, see if they have learned anything new since we last assessed them. It's a good way to keep their learning plan updated to exactly what they need!
Q: What kinds of math help does your center/re offer?
A: We offer math tutoring for any level up through Calculus. That includes Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle School and High School topics such as algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry and pre-calc. We can help our students with homework, although we do not do only homework help.
