Daniel Chavez is one of our elite instructors at Mathnasium of Converse,

whose job it is to teach kids to feel confident and become successful in math. We interviewed Daniel to give you a sneak peak of how great he is:

So, Daniel, What do you love most about teaching here? A: I love when students finally start to understand concepts they struggle with and overcome their feeling of confusion. It goes to show anyone can learn most math concepts with the proper guidance.

What's your favorite success story at Mathnasium? A: I worked with a man named Edwin who started attending Mathnasium to pass the HESI exam and get into a dental program. He worked very hard to learn a lot of math he had forgotten after many years of being out of school. With our help he passed the exam. He was incredibly happy and his drive is a source of inspiration for me.

If I was to catch you at your favorite local restaurant, what would it be and what would you order? A: You could find me at El Bucanero with a large bowl of ceviche; that's my favorite food!

What is your favorite place to go on the weekend? A: I love going to see concerts in Austin with friends.

Tell me that last movie you saw and enjoyed. A: I recently watched The Black Phone. It had a great villain and protagonist with a satisfying ending.
