Q: What did you notice about your center/re the first time you came in?

Employee Answer: The first thing I noticed about the center was all of the binders and how many student pictures were on the brag board. I knew this place was going to be different when I walked past all the tables, and everyone was working AND on different things. I've tutored for a while now, and I was super impressed by this format. Now that I've worked here for a while, I can see how effective this is for the students. I love celebrating their successes!

Q: What is your favorite memory at your center/re?

Employee Answer: Oh, I have so many memories, but my favorite recently is our Valentine's Game Night. We had so much fun with graphing candy hearts, making heart pillows, and jumping the line for even and odd numbers. Game Nights give me a chance to know the kids in a fun way. It's another way to connect!

Q: What’s your favorite part about your center/re?

Owner/CD Answer: There are so many things to love at Mathnasium of Converse but right now, I'm loving our awesome group of instructors. We have a committed group of instructors who range from a junior in high school to a retired teacher. Each brings so many great things to the table, and the kids love working with each of them. The instructors obviously have an amazing math skillset, but they can also instruct and connect with the students. That's a rare find for sure!

Q: What time of year is the most fun at your center/re?

Employee Answer: Summer is so much fun here at the center. The tempo is different: we play games, most kids don't have homework or school so they're eager to get to work, and so much progress is made. We end the summer with an epic students vs. instructors balloon fight. Everyone looks forward to that!
