Mathnasium of Greatwood's personalized geometry tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
We introduce middle school students to foundational concepts like angles, shapes, congruence, and basic measurement, building the spatial reasoning and logical thinking skills needed for high school geometry.
Our tutors guide students through core topics—triangles, circles, proofs, transformations, and the Pythagorean theorem—using personalized plans that make abstract concepts clear and build problem-solving confidence.
Honors students and competition participants can receive targeted support for challenging topics like advanced proofs, coordinate geometry, and complex problem-solving strategies that prepare them for college-level coursework and math competitions.
At Mathnasium of Greatwood, our geometry tutors are specially trained to help students learn and master any K–12 geometry topic, delivering face-to-face instruction in an engaging group environment. We support learners of all skill levels and stages of math journey, whether they’re exploring angles and shapes or tackling formal proofs and coordinate geometry.

Specially Trained and Caring Team
Desiré Pierce
Owner & Director
Desiré brings over a decade of experience with Mathnasium to her role as Center Owner and Director. She began her journey as an instructor in 2010 and went on to serve as a center director, contribute to the franchise headquarters, and work on the executive leadership team. Her deep understanding of the Mathnasium Method makes her uniquely qualified to lead and inspire.
Now fulfilling a longtime dream, Desiré is thrilled to be managing her own center and directly impacting students’ lives through math. She’s passionate about fostering confidence and creating an environment where learning truly comes to life.
Madeleine J.
Assistant Center Director
Madeleine graduated from Baylor University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Her academic journey reflects a curiosity about how people think and learn, which directly informs her work at Mathnasium. With experience as both an RA and tutor, she brings empathy, patience, and humor to every lesson.
She teaches through Calculus I and Statistics and loves connecting students to math in creative ways. Her favorite number is 2, and her favorite math joke? “You just increased your sample size? More power to you!” In her free time, she enjoys painting, writing poetry, and practicing Korean and ASL.
Hamza J.
Instructor
Hamza J. is a junior at the University of Houston, where he is a proud member of the NSM and Honors College. He is pursuing a degree in Mathematics with a focus on Data Science and a minor in Finance. Passionate about education and problem-solving, Hamza currently works as a high school instructor at a math tutoring center, helping students build strong foundations and confidence in mathematics.
Outside of teaching, Hamza enjoys working out and finding beauty in numbers—his favorite being e^(i*pi)+ 1. He also loves sharing math humor, like reminding everyone to "always say sin(q)/\cos(q)."
Luna Q.
Instructor
Luna is a first-year student at the University of Houston majoring in Biology. She’s studied math through Calculus II and enjoys making math feel less intimidating and more exciting for every student she works with.
She loves being a Mathnasium instructor because she believes that once students get the hang of math, it becomes a fun and empowering challenge. Luna is passionate about helping others experience that same excitement and confidence.
Ereni S.
Instructor
Ereni is an exceptional high school age instructor known for her infectious enthusiasm and encouraging energy. Mathnasium of Greatwood tutors help students of all skill levels learn and master key geometry topics.
We cover plane and coordinate geometry, angle relationships, congruency, similarity, the Pythagorean theorem, transformations, area, volume, and more.
Whether your student is just starting or needs support with high school geometry, we can help.
We help students understand postulates and theorems, write formal proofs, and solve complex problems involving triangles, circles, polygons, and three-dimensional figures.
Absolutely. Our team supports middle school students who are learning foundational geometry skills such as classifying shapes, measuring angles, identifying lines of symmetry, and applying basic formulas for perimeter, area, and volume.
While STAAR does not include a dedicated geometry EOC exam, geometry concepts appear in the Algebra I and other math assessments.
Our instruction aligns with TEKS standards, and we prepare students to apply their geometry skills confidently on STAAR and in class.
The Mathnasium Method™ is our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with interactive instruction. Tutors use it to help students build a deep understanding of geometry concepts, connect visuals to formulas, and learn how to think critically and solve problems step by step.
Yes, we certainly can align your student’s personalized learning plan with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.
Depending on the student’s learning goals, we can focus on reinforcing concepts taught in Fort Bend ISD and neighboring schools to help students stay on track and succeed in their geometry class.
At Mathnasium of Greatwood, students benefit from a structured learning environment, personalized plans, and our proven teaching approach.
