We help students navigate fast-paced topics—factoring polynomials, quadratics, exponentials, and logarithms—developing advanced problem-solving capabilities critical for Precalculus, standardized tests, and college-prep coursework.
At Mathnasium of Logan, our specially trained math tutors help students of all skill levels learn and master algebra. We support students in Prealgebra, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2, as well as topics like expressions, equations, functions, graphing, polynomials, and exponential relationships.
We provide personalized, face-to-face instruction in a caring and fun group environment. Our tutors use clear, everyday language, meet students where they are, and guide them step by step so algebra feels understandable and confidence-building.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach designed to help students truly understand how algebra works while strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Students’ Mathnasium journey begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills, learning gaps, and goals. Using these insights, we create a personalized learning plan that focuses on exactly what each student needs, whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.
With the plan in place, our tutors deliver targeted, supportive instruction, adapting in real time to the student’s learning style. This approach helps students fill knowledge gaps, strengthen foundational skills, and build lasting confidence as they progress through algebra.

Sam graduated from Utah State University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Her favorite number is 19, which also happens to be her birthday and a prime number. While studying at USU, she especially loved Discrete Math, Combinatorics, and Graph Theory.
In high school, Sam was a nationally ranked debater, drama team member, track athlete, and president of the Queer Student Alliance. She also tutored math and ACT prep and later worked as a substitute teacher. Outside of Mathnasium, she enjoys hiking, caring for her houseplants, reading, and celebrating Christmas year-round. Fun fact: Sam skipped first grade!

During high school, I participated in AP Calculus and absolutely LOVED it! My teacher was incredible and showed me how inspiring, useful, and beautiful math can be. Later, while attending school at Utah State, I increased my understanding and appreciation of mathematics through taking Calculus 2, Calculus 3, STATS for Scientists, and Linear Algebra. Incredible professors continued to inspire me and push me to think more critically about the questions that surround us every day. One of my most favorite things about life is music... and one of the activities that has fostered this appreciation was my participation in the Green Canyon Marching Band (I play the flute:)). I was able to meet so many incredible people, make unforgettable memories, and learn how to discipline myself to do something difficult yet beautiful, all at the same time. I am still part of a community band to this day:) Additionally, I participated in religious service within the state of Wisconsin, where I met some fantastic people and learned how to speak Spanish. ;) Some of my favorite things to do include: playing the piano, eating chocolate, gardening, hiking, baking sooooo many cookies, reading a good book, laughing with my family and puzzling over new math problems!
Fun Fact: One fun fact about myself is that I LOVE to dance in the rain... if you haven't tried it, you totally should! (with or without an umbrella:)).
Favorite Number, Why?: My favorite number is 18... it seems to come up as my lucky number quite often :), but is also a beautifully even number and corresponds with my birthday:)!
Education: I am currently a sophomore at Utah State University and am pursuing a degree in Math/STATS Composite Education. So far, I love it!
Why I Like Mathnasium: I am extremely excited to be working at Mathnasium! One of the most essential skills for citizens of today's society to acquire is the ability to problem solve. Math is one of the subjects that enhances one's problem solving skills the very most, and I love the look that students get in their eyes and the confidence that they find within their person when they master a new skill or solve a new problem. I want to help students feel heard in their math struggles, but also seen in their ever-present ability to solve whatever problem is thrown at them. :)

I took AP Calculus AB and BC in high school, and have taken Calculus 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, and Foundations of Analysis at Utah State. I was in the top 100 Female High School Mountain Bikers in the state of Utah my senior year of high school through the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). I've worked at as a math tutor at Utah State University, and did some private math tutoring in high school. I also worked as a peer tutor in high school, helping out in a Calculus AB classroom. I love rock climbing, playing the violin, big band swing dancing, and baking muffins!
Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that I completed 2nd and 3rd grade in the same year.
Favorite Number, Why?: My favorite number is 2. It's the only even number that's prime, and I love the 2^n pattern of 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, ...
Education: I recently finished my Sophomore year at Utah State University studying Math and Stats Secondary Education.
Why I Like Mathnasium: Math is so fun when you understand how it works, so I love helping students understand it so they can enjoy it as well. Math is everywhere in life and it's so fun to see and understand how it works, and how you can use numbers and variables to describe the world.
