Q: What makes Mathnasium different from other tutoring centers?
A: Mathnasium is a math-only-tutoring center, utilizing our own patented Mathnasium Method for students to gain math mastery by addressing any learning gaps, expanding their current knowledge, and adding new concepts to get ahead. At Mathnasium, we help students who are struggling in math, are working at grade level and even students who want to excel farther ahead!
Q: Why would you encourage parents to consider Mathnasium?
A: At Mathnasium, we strive to not only strengthen students' math foundations but also to rebuild/build their confidence. I would encourage parents to consider Mathnasium, as we create custom plans for each student individually, since we understand not all students learn the same way. With the Mathnasium Method, we are able to teach students in multiple learning styles to find which method makes the most sense to each student. We also have some pretty fun prizes for students to earn along the way which helps make math more fun!
Q: How often do students get re-assessed?
A: Students are given comprehensive assessments every few months or when a student completes their learning plan/concepts for their level. Reassessing students allows us to shorten learning plans and account for academic gains (or relapses!) throughout the students' learning process to ensure they are focusing on their critical gaps and not wasting time working on concepts they have fully mastered.
Q: What kinds of math help does your center/re offer?
A: We help with Elementary, Middle School, and High School math levels including Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and even ACT/SAT prep. During student sessions, we even set time aside to help students with any math homework/study guides they have from school!
