Q1: What types of progress have you seen students make this summer?
A1: I have seen students more motivated to work this summer without the stress and tiredness from school. Motivation in turn increases confidence, participation, independence, and improved math skills.
Q2: How does your center help students stay motivated and engaged during the summer months?
A2: Our center helps students stay motivated and engaged during the summer months by continuing our fun day activities and creating summer-only activities. This summer, we are hosting the Mathnasium Summer of Games, where every 30 minutes, a new math game starts and students can play with other students or instructors to apply and extend their math knowledge.
Q3: Why is summer such a valuable time for building confidence in math?
A3: Summer is such a valuable time for building confidence in math because learning is year-and life-long. Without having to process new material at school, students can catch up, and students who are working ahead can learn new material.
