Today, you’ll get a glimpse into the happenings of your local center as we follow students through their first experience at Mathnasium of Villages of Westcreek.

Q: What is the first thing a brand new student does at your center?

A: When a new student walks through our doors, they grab their binder, meet our instructors, and then they decorate their binder spine.

Q: What is the comprehensive assessment? How long does it take to finish?

A: The comprehensive assessment looks for gaps in learning that are causing confusion with the current content they are expected to tackle in the classroom. The questions missed on the assessment creates a learning plan that is designed to close the gaps. Students typically work on three different skills during a session. When the logical sequence in math is followed, confusing concepts start making sense.

Q: How often should I bring my student to Mathnasium of Villages of Westcreek ?

A: Most students do best coming two to three times each week. The consistency in attendance is what makes the program work best.

Q: Who are the people teaching my child?

A: Our instructors range from high school through retired teachers. Each instructor goes through the same exact training, so no matter which instructor a student sits across from, the instructional method is the same. Also, the only way one is qualified to become a Mathnasium instructor is by taking the tedious math employment test, which helps us determine the applicant's math abilities and understanding.

Q: When can I bring my child into Mathnasium of Villages of Westcreek ?

A: We are open Monday through Thursday from 3:30pm to 7:30pm and Sundays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. You get to schedule the days and times that work best for you and your family.

Q: How do you motivate your students at Mathnasium of Villages of Westcreek ?

A: Motivation comes in many different forms here: instructor praise, our awesome reward cabinet, our theme days, and the confidence that comes from doing hard things.
