Mathnasium of Plano's personalized geometry tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
We guide middle school students through foundational concepts like angles, shapes, congruence, and basic measurement in a supportive environment that builds the spatial reasoning and confidence they need to feel ready for high school geometry.
Following personalized learning plans, we guide students through high-school-level topics such as proofs, triangles, circles, transformations, and the Pythagorean theorem, using clear, step-by-step instruction that truly makes sense.
Honors students and those preparing for math competitions can dive into advanced proofs, coordinate geometry, and complex strategies, sharpening analytical skills and preparing for college-level mathematics and competitive challenges.
Our specially trained math tutors help students of all skill levels excel in geometry, whether just starting with basic geometric elements like lines and angles, or working through complex proofs and coordinate geometry.
We provide personalized, face-to-face instruction in a nurturing and fun environment, guiding students step by step through the concepts they need to master and building their confidence in the subject.
We teach geometry using the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach designed to promote math mastery, including a deep understanding of geometry.
By combining personalized learning plans with interactive teaching techniques, we help students not only grasp essential geometry concepts but also enjoy the learning process.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment where we identify their current skill level, find any gaps in understanding, and determine their learning goals. Using these insights, we create a personalized learning plan that puts them on the best path to geometry mastery.
Our tutors follow each student’s personalized learning plan and use proven, interactive techniques to help them develop a deep understanding of geometry. This approach empowers students to master key concepts like transformations, similarity, congruence, and more.

Amber Chen
Center Director
Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and has nearly nine years of experience in the education field. She has served as both an Associate Center Director and Center Director, supporting students with tutoring, test preparation, and college counseling. Earlier in her career, she worked as a foreign language teacher in Arizona. Through her experience in classrooms and learning centers, Amber has seen how many students struggle when instruction is not aligned with their individual learning levels.
Amber joined Mathnasium because she is passionate about helping bridge these learning gaps. She believes every student deserves instruction that meets them where they are, challenging advanced learners while supporting those who need extra help so they can build confidence and succeed.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys hiking and spending time with her two Shiba Inus. As a devoted dog lover, she is always happy to chat about pets, trails, and the outdoors.
Mia
Associate Center Director
Mia holds a Master’s degree in Human Development & Early Childhood Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas and has more than five years of experience supporting young children as they build essential learning skills.
Through her work with children who have a wide range of developmental needs in both clinical and in-home settings, Mia has developed a strong understanding of how to tailor support to meet each child’s unique strengths and challenges.
She is passionate about creating a supportive learning environment where students feel confident, encouraged, and motivated to learn. Mia believes that positive early learning experiences build the foundation for long-term success in math, and she enjoys partnering with families to help children grow, develop confidence, and thrive.
Outside of work, Mia enjoys ice skating and baking (though not at the same time!) and loves trying out new recipes on her friends and family.
