Mathnasium of Tuckahoe's personalized geometry tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
We introduce middle school students to foundational concepts like angles, shapes, congruence, and basic measurement, building the spatial reasoning and logical thinking skills needed for high school geometry.
Our tutors guide students through core topics—triangles, circles, proofs, transformations, and the Pythagorean theorem—using personalized plans that make abstract concepts clear and build problem-solving confidence.
Honors students and competition participants can receive targeted support for challenging topics like advanced proofs, coordinate geometry, and complex problem-solving strategies that prepare them for college-level coursework and math competitions.
Our specially trained tutors help students excel in geometry, whether they are learning about angles and polygons for the first time or tackling advanced topics like coordinate geometry, similarity, and proofs.
We teach geometry in a caring and fun group environment, using clear explanations and a mix of visual, verbal, tactile, and written techniques to help students understand the why and how behind each concept and build lasting skills and confidence.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that combines diagnostic assessments, personalized learning plans, and interactive techniques to teach geometry in a way that makes sense.
Our tutors build on what students already know, strengthening foundational skills, and introducing new concepts gradually so they can build a deep understanding and even enjoy the subject.
Each student begins with a diagnostic assessment. Based on the assessment insights, we develop a personalized learning plan that targets their unique needs, whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.
Once the plan is in place, our tutors follow it closely and adapt instruction in real time to each student’s learning style. This helps students close knowledge gaps, strengthen their skills, and approach any geometry task with confidence.

Whether your student is looking to build foundational skills or explore advanced topics, we provide targeted instruction that leads to real results.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach designed to help students build a deep understanding of any math topic, including geometry.
We start with a diagnostic assessment to pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, and learning goals. Using those insights, we create a personalized learning plan that targets specific geometry topics, whether that’s transformations, coordinate proofs, or understanding theorems.
Our tutors deliver face-to-face instruction in a caring and fun group environment, using mental, visual, verbal, tactile, and written techniques to adapt to each student’s preferred learning style.
Yes. Our tutors are trained in supporting students who feel stuck or discouraged in their geometry class.
We provide caring guidance, break down complex ideas into understandable steps, and help rebuild confidence by progressing at the student’s pace.
Definitely. We work with advanced learners looking to go beyond the classroom curriculum, prepare for math competitions, or succeed in advanced-level courses.
We introduce them to complex proofs, multi-step problem-solving strategies, and real-world applications of geometry concepts that push their thinking further.
Yes. Each session includes time for homework support.
Our tutors help students tackle challenging assignments and ensure they understand the material, not just get the answers, so they can confidently solve similar problems on their own.
Absolutely. We can align instruction with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs) and provide test prep for:
Classroom quizzes and unit tests
Final exams
Benchmark assessments
Geometry-related questions on the PSAT® and SAT®, as well as Virginia SOL exams
