The Mathnasium Method™ uses a combination of teaching techniques to build on what each child already knows. This helps children develop their maths skills, retain what they learn and grow in confidence. Learn more about the Mathnasium Method here.
Mathnasium teaches each child as an individual. We begin with a detailed assessment to identify their strengths and any gaps in their understanding. We then create a personalised learning plan based on their individual needs and goals. Our trained instructors provide face-to-face tuition at a pace that is right for each child.
Private tuition often focuses on immediate challenges such as homework or an upcoming test. At Mathnasium, we take a structured approach that develops the skills and understanding each child needs over time. Our instructors follow a personalised learning plan supported by the proven Mathnasium Method™.
Membership fees vary depending on the programme, location and your child’s learning needs. Contact your local Mathnasium centre to discuss the available options and find the right programme for your child.
No. Learning takes place during each Mathnasium session under the guidance of our trained instructors. Where appropriate, instructors may also use part of a session to support your child with their school maths homework.
Mathnasium has centres across the UK. Use our centre finder to find and contact your nearest location.
Yes. If your child is finding maths challenging, we identify and address gaps in their understanding to help them catch up and keep up. If your child is already confident in maths, we build on their existing knowledge and introduce new challenges to help them get ahead.
We support children aged 5–16, from Reception through to GCSE.
With regular attendance, children can strengthen their maths skills, develop a deeper understanding and build confidence. Every child is different, so their progress will depend on their individual starting point, learning needs and attendance.
Speak to your local centre team about the session options available. Some centres also offer Mathnasium@home, allowing your child to attend live online sessions with a Mathnasium instructor. If your child misses a session, they will continue with their personalised learning plan when they next attend.
