Mathnasium Began With the Realisation That There's a Better Way To Teach Maths

My son has been attending Mathnasium for almost a year now, and the progress he has made has been remarkable. Not only is he thriving at school, but his confidence in maths has grown significantly. He genuinely looks forward to his sessions each week and is always proud of his achievements, whether that's completing pages, mastering a new concept, or receiving praise from his teachers. The team at Mathnasium has been fantastic. Every teacher is supportive, encouraging and passionate about helping children succeed. I would highly recommend Mathnasium to any parent looking to help their child build strong maths skills and confidence.

Mathnasium has been fantastic for both my son and daughter. It’s been amazing to see how quickly they’ve progressed and how much their confidence in maths has grown. The focused support they receive is far beyond what they were getting at school and has really helped them understand the core techniques that carry through as maths becomes more challenging. It’s been a huge confidence boost for them, and we’re so pleased with the impact it’s had.

My 8 year old daughter absolutely loves this place. She is proud of having her own folder of tasks and appreciate the support she gets from the tutors. She also loves that she can make friends whilst also improving her Maths skills. Since she joined a couple of months ago, she happily attended at least 3 times a week, even after an extended day. Her tutors are warm and pleasant, patient and caring. She loves the spinning wheel which motivates her to stay focused and complete more tasks. As a parent, I found the centre very supportive and accommodating, with a family feel to it. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. The children are all engaged and excited about their learning. The regular in depth feedback is extremely helpful too. I love that there is always something special planned, like engaging workshops or themed parties too. All in all, Mathnasium is a fantastic centre where children learn to thrive in Maths.

Ed is brilliant, they make the sessions so fun at the same time they are learning and stepping up the ladder.. adil is always looking forward to the next session, from falling behind in maths hes now got mastery in maths at the end of year results. Well done to all the staff at mathnesium.

My son used to hate maths and even though he was above average in the subject he never wanted to do it. Mathnasium helped him to appreciate the subject and also helped him to consistently perform well in his exams. He started looking forward to going to the lessons. The staff were very friendly and nice to him. Regular feedback on emails and calls helped me to track his progress. The result is that my son does not hate the subject and has also taken it in A Levels. I really think Mathnasium made a huge difference in helping him change his mind. I really thankful to the staff and teachers at Mathnasium for making this happen.

It’s really flexible and fits in around school. When exams and assessments are coming up my daughter can let her tutor know of specific topics for revision she would like to cover. She can also add in a few more sessions in the lead-up to these to help consolidate her learning. It’s great for her to be around other pupils from various schools across Winchester as well - it becomes a shared experience knowing she isn’t the only one having/needing tuition. As it’s self contained, it also means that the tuition doesn’t get in the way of teenage life!

My daughter (7) has attended Mathnasium for over 6 months and I couldn't speak higher of the set-up and the staff. They are very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. My daughter was slightly working within herself at school, but the team do a good job of pushing her to learn more and practice. The extra's that Kathryn and team lay on during out-of-term add something different to do over and above the usual clubs. When your daughter starts most weeks with "dad, have you booked maths yet" - something is going well.

Lily’s confidence in maths and her ability has improved hugely! She loves attending and really enjoys it - making maths fun! The tutors and managers are all so friendly, fun, approachable & welcoming - they are all amazing and make the kids feel great at what they are achieving! Would highly recommend!

My daughter has been attending Mathnasium since October 2025. I can’t recommend Saqib, Philip and the rest of the team highly enough. My daughter skips in happily at the beginning of each session and has grown massively in confidence when it comes to her mathematics knowledge and understanding. It is a caring, nurturing environment for children. The reward scheme (star cards) is also a great strategy to give the kids goals to aim for. I am kept up to date with emails and one to one chats in regards to my daughter’s progress and achievements. She even won “Student of the Month” this month (March) 👏🏻 - I am delighted with Mathnasium 10/10!
