Mathnasium Began with a Better Way to Teach Maths

I researched and the trial sessions at most of the centres in our local area. So that was about five of them. I have to say we chose this centre specifically because of Fiona and Shane and how they were attentive to what we wanted out of the lessons for our son. They have not let us down. My son loves going to his lessons and Shane and Fiona give him the time that he needs which is fantastic. He’s so motivated and proud of his improvements in maths. This centre works because of its People they are absolutely fantastic.

My son used to hate maths and even though he was above average in the subject he never wanted to do it. Mathnasium helped him to appreciate the subject and also helped him to consistently perform well in his exams. He started looking forward to going to the lessons. The staff were very friendly and nice to him. Regular feedback on emails and calls helped me to track his progress. The result is that my son does not hate the subject and has also taken it in A Levels. I really think Mathnasium made a huge difference in helping him change his mind. I really thankful to the staff and teachers at Mathnasium for making this happen.

My daughter loves going to Mathnasium (Crouch End). She describes the environment as ‘calm’ and her interest in Maths has deepened as a result of the staff making it a friendly learning experience. Highly recommend.

We are very happy with Mathnasium. My daughter enjoys her lessons and is much more confident with maths. Kieran is very supportive, and Fiona is always understanding. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and we really appreciate all they do. I would definitely recommend it.

My 6-year-old son has been attending Mathnasium for the past academic year. When he first started, his math skills were below the level expected for his school year. I can not recommend mathnasium enough. All the instructors are very dedicated and the care, enthusiasm and energy that they put in to the students to help build the students confidence and create a positive connection to maths really is impressive. They truly do care. As a parent I have felt supported and encouraged myself and popped in many times for chats where I was updated with progress on my son and to see what he had achieved in a very short time really was impressive. My son recently started at Mathnasium Kings Heath, and I couldn't be happier with the progress he's already making. After just one class, he came home feeling much more confident and genuinely excited about maths. He looks forward to every session and enjoys learning new techniques that make difficult topics much easier to understand. He had been struggling with areas such as percentages and fractions, but after only two sessions, he already feels much more confident tackling these topics. The teaching is engaging, supportive, and builds confidence as well as mathematical skills. The staff are friendly, patient, and create a positive learning environment where children enjoy learning. Excellent 11+ preparation and confidence booster! My son is currently in Year 5 and has been attending Mathnasium in East Sheen to help prepare for his 11+ exams. We have seen fantastic progress since he started. The structured approach has significantly boosted his academic skills, but more importantly, it has given him the confidence he needs for the exams ahead. The team is incredibly supportive, encouraging, and kind—both to the students and the parents. I highly recommend them for exam preparation!

Great supplement to what children do at school. Builds their confidence levels. The tutors are great and the reward system used motivates students to work harder each day. My son loves it! David and the team are very professional and always ready to help. I would strongly recommend not only for children who struggle with maths, but also to stretch the ones who love maths!

My daughter (7) has attended Mathnasium for over 6 months and I couldn't speak higher of the set-up and the staff. They are very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. My daughter was slightly working within herself at school, but the team do a good job of pushing her to learn more and practice. The extra's that Kathryn and team lay on during out-of-term add something different to do over and above the usual clubs. When your daughter starts most weeks with "dad, have you booked maths yet" - something is going well.

We are so grateful to the teachers for their amazing support. Our son had very little formal maths education before moving to the UK, but in just six months they prepared him for Higher GCSE Maths, starting from Foundation level, and he achieved a fantastic Grade 6 (B) - a very strong result that is more than sufficient for his future career. The teachers were incredibly motivating, and the flexible lessons fitted perfectly around his demanding conservatoire schedule. We highly recommend Mathnasium Watford!

We have had an excellent experience with Mathnasium in King’s Heath. Since my daughter started attending, we have seen a real improvement in both her maths skills and her confidence. My daughter has been attending Mathnasium since October 2025. I can’t recommend Saqib, Philip and the rest of the team highly enough. My daughter skips in happily at the beginning of each session and has grown massively in confidence when it comes to her mathematics knowledge and understanding. It is a caring, nurturing environment for children. The reward scheme (star cards) is also a great strategy to give the kids goals to aim for. I am kept up to date with emails and one to one chats in regards to my daughter’s progress and achievements. She even won “Student of the Month” this month (March) 👏🏻 - I am delighted with Mathnasium 10/10!
