At Mathnasium of Frimley, our specially trained instructors use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach designed to help children build lasting maths mastery. Instead of working through a fixed syllabus, we combine personalised learning plans with mental, verbal, visual, tactile and written techniques, so each child receives the support they need to develop a deep understanding of maths.
Children progress at their own pace, building the kind of mathematical confidence that holds up in the classroom and under exam pressure alike.
Mathnasium of Frimley's specially trained instructors work with children from Reception through to GCSE at our centre on Frimley High Street, or online via Mathnasium@home.
Sessions take place in a fun and supportive environment, where each child receives individual, face-to-face tuition guided by their own learning plan.
Every child at Mathnasium of Frimley begins their journey with a diagnostic assessment, giving us an accurate picture of what they already know and where the knowledge gaps are.
From there, we build a personalised learning plan that closes those gaps in the right order, so each new topic sits on solid ground rather than papering over what came before. We review progress regularly so the plan keeps pace with each child as they move towards maths mastery.

Aqil Choudhury
Centre Manager
Hi, I'm Aqil, the Centre Manager at Mathnasium Frimley!
I graduated with a First Class Honours BSc in Mathematics from Queen Mary University of London, and I'm passionate about helping students enjoy and succeed in maths. I have experience working with children, allowing me to adapt to different learning styles and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
I love maths because it's not only logical but also creative, and I enjoy the challenge of finding different ways to approach and solve problems. My goal is to make maths engaging, build students' confidence, boost exam performance, and help students develop problem-solving skills they can use far beyond the classroom.
When I'm not at the centre, I enjoy playing and watching tennis, and I have a keen interest in travel and aviation.
Kai
Assistant Centre Manager
Hi, I'm Kai, Assistant Centre Manager at Mathnasium Frimley.
Having been both a tutor and a tutee, I understand that everyone learns differently. I know how much of a difference the right teaching approach can make, which is why I’m passionate about helping each student build confidence by adapting my approach to suit their individual learning style and making maths feel less intimidating.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me doing something creative - whether that’s cooking, drawing, painting, or anything involving music. (And hoping my cats don’t walk on my wet paintings!)
Two fun facts about me: I can bake a pretty incredible lemon drizzle cake and I can ride a motorbike.
Whether they would like to attend sessions in-centre or online, students can take 3 easy steps to enrol at Mathnasium.
All students begin their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints what they already know and what they still need to learn.

Mathnasium of Frimley works with children from Reception through to GCSE, ages 4 to 16, across all Key Stages from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to KS4.
Whether your child has just started school or is heading into their GCSE years, we can support them at every stage of their maths journey.
We cover the full range of primary and secondary maths, from Reception maths and early number foundations through to the algebra, geometry, statistics and trigonometry that children encounter in KS3 and KS4.
Instructors at Mathnasium of Frimley follow a proprietary approach which combines personalised learning plans with proven teaching techniques, so every child's sessions focus on the specific topics they find most challenging rather than working through a fixed sequence. Whether your child needs to consolidate Year 4 fractions or sharpen multiplication tables, that is where the focus lands.
Private tutors typically respond to whatever a child brings that day, be it a tricky homework problem, an upcoming test or a topic they are finding difficult. Mathnasium of Frimley starts from a different point.
Every child's sessions follow a personalised learning plan built around their specific knowledge gaps and goals, rather than reacting to each session as it arrives. Our instructors use the Mathnasium Method™, a proven teaching approach used across 1,200+ centres worldwide, delivered face-to-face in a caring and fun environment where children build confidence alongside peers.
We do not follow a fixed curriculum. Our instructors use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that focuses on building a deep understanding of maths rather than teaching children to memorise steps.
In practice, sessions combine mental, verbal, visual, tactile and written techniques, all guided by each child's personalised learning plan. We can align sessions with what children are covering under the National Curriculum at school, while also addressing any knowledge gaps that have built up along the way.
Mathnasium of Frimley works with children of all skill levels, whether they need to catch up, keep up or get ahead.
For children who are finding maths difficult, we start from exactly what they already know and build forward, closing gaps methodically so each new concept has solid foundations beneath it. Our instructors adjust the pace and approach to suit how each child learns best, celebrating every step forward.
For children who are ahead of their year group, we offer enrichment that goes beyond the school curriculum, deepening their mathematical thinking and preparing them for entrance exams, competitions or more demanding work ahead.
Yes! Mathnasium of Frimley supports children preparing for the 11+ and Independent School Entrance Board (ISEB) examinations, covering the numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills these assessments require.
Families in the Frimley and Camberley area have a range of independent and grammar schools to consider. We recommend beginning preparation early to leave enough time to close knowledge gaps and build consistent performance across all question types.
Yes, Mathnasium of Frimley supports Year 10 and Year 11 children through their GCSE maths preparation, across both Foundation and Higher tiers. Sessions are built around each child's current grade, target grade and the topics that need the most attention, covering number, algebra, geometry, ratio, probability and statistics.
We also support students working towards Functional Skills Maths.
Absolutely! We help Year 6 children prepare for their KS2 SATs maths papers, working through both the Arithmetic and Reasoning elements with a personalised learning plan focused on each child's specific gaps rather than drilling past papers in isolation.
We also support Year 4 children preparing for the Multiplication Tables Check and Year 2 children working towards their KS1 assessments.
Tuition at Mathnasium of Frimley is priced as a flat monthly membership fee rather than a per-session rate. We recommend most children attend two to three sessions a week for the best results.
After the diagnostic assessment, we will recommend a session plan tailored to your child's learning needs and goals.
The first step is a diagnostic assessment, which gives us an accurate picture of where your child is in their maths rather than relying on assumptions. From there, we build their personalised learning plan and talk you through exactly what we recommend.
