Summer with Mathnasium

Summer at Mathnasium keeps maths skills strong.

The expression "use it or lose it" applies to maths knowledge too. On average, students lose 2.6 months of what they've learned in maths over the school summer holiday. Summer at Mathnasium is the answer.

STEAM sessions are fun, interactive sessions where children experience Science and Maths in a real-world activity.  We have a variety of activities on offer throughout the summer including making mathematical art, building gumdrop structures and exploring geoboards and tangrams. On top of this, we introduce students to the ideas of sudoku and game theory all in a creative and encouraging environment.

Our Summer Programme starts from Tuesday 9th July and runs until Saturday 31st August.

The centre will be open for the following hours over the summer:

  • Monday - Thursday: 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Friday: Closed
  • Saturday: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • Sunday: Closed

STEAM activities will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, with students welcome to attend from 4:00 pm firstly for their hourly Mathnasium session and then stay for the second hour to take part in the STEAM activity.

All current Mathnasium members are entitled to attend as usual either for a 1-hour standard session or to attend STEAM sessions.
