Tim Wareham

Centre Director
Tim is the Centre Director at Mathnasium of Notting Hill. Prior to leading the Mathnasium centre Tim worked in finance for 30 years for a number of leading financial institutions where he developed a career that took in many of the largest finance stories of that time. He went to Alleyns School, Dulwich where his sporting career highlights involved captaining the 1st XI cricket team and was an integral part of the 1st XI football team that won the London schools cup at Stamford Bridge. For many years he has spent weekends coaching football to KS1 children. Tim is the father of twin daughters who are now studying at UCL and Bournemouth Universities. Tim is determined to make sure that children that come through the centre, walk away with a permanent love of Maths alongside new found skills that they will carry through for the rest of their lives.

Monae Bailey

Assistant Centre Director
Monae is an instructor at Mathnasium of Notting Hill and recently graduated with a 2.1 in Spanish and Business Management at King’s College London. After achieving an A in her Maths GCSE in Year 8, she then studied Maths and Further Maths in sixth form, achieving an A* in Maths A-level. During her time at university, she started off volunteering as a mentor for younger students, and later started tutoring, specifically in maths. Having rediscovered her passion for maths through this experience, she wanted to continue to help students to excel in the subject with a newfound confidence and hopefully love it just as much as she did in school. Outside of her studies and Mathnasium, she loves to travel, such as spending her year abroad living in Spain to improve her language skills alongside her degree.

Sanjey Kumaravel

Hey, I'm Sanjey. I'm an instructor at the Notting Hill branch of Mathnasium alongside studying in my final year as a Physics student at University College London. Beyond studying the universe's intricacies, I enjoy the great outdoors, hiking with friends, and expressing my creativity through drawing. You'll find me equally immersed in the world of video games and dedicated to giving back through volunteering at a local farm. At Mathnasium, my goal goes beyond just teaching numbers; it's about fostering a genuine understanding and love for mathematics, the language of the universe.

Yasmin Angel

Yasmin has always had a passion for mathematics, particularly evident in her current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science. Because of this, she is inspired to share the importance of learning these skills in an enjoyable way with her students. With a wealth of experience tutoring children in JavaScript coding and volunteering at a local Children’s Science Museum, she understands how to cultivate motivation, learning, and growth within young children. Outside of math, she enjoys playing the cello, crocheting, and reading in her free time. Yasmin is dedicated to creating an environment where students can flourish in the field of mathematics by developing a strong foundation in a fun and engaging way!

Ryan Claire

Instructor
Ryan is an enthusiastic and ardent mathematician that not only achieved a 9 in GCSE maths but excelled to accomplish an A* star in both mathematics and further mathematics. He wants to enable students to navigate the labyrinth of mathematical concepts by guiding them to conquer their fears and embrace the beauty of problem-solving. His overall goal is to be a catalyst for growth and to foster critical thinking, resilience within any student. Ryan also has a deepened passion towards playing football, learning about aerospace engineering, and playing the piano, all skills acquired when partaking in those activities correlates with his role as a Mathanasium instructor whereby clear communication is paramount in explaining complex mathematical concepts in an understandable matter. As a Mathansium instructor he is dedicated in ensuring all students persevere in any struggles they may have acquired and to be accustomed with the knowledge to be proficient academically. His devoted to directing all students to reach their fullest capabilities as mathematicians.

Elina Ghai

Instructor
Elina is an instructor at Mathnasium of Notting Hill and is currently working towards a first-class MSci degree in Physics at Imperial College London. She is enthusiastic about mathematics and believes that everyone deserves to enjoy the process of learning and the benefits that accompany a great education! Outside the classroom, Elina loves to create all kinds of art, from glass painting to watercolours and oils, and can also be found taking a stroll around Hyde Park. Occasionally, she also does work for her degree! Her goal at Mathnasium is to impart her passion for maths to her students and give them the confidence to aim higher and excel in the subject, allowing her students to appreciate the elegance of (and not simply tolerate) mathematics.

Elizabeth Bright

Elizabeth is currently studying Computer Science and Business, which is allowing her cultivate her maths skills. She completed mathematics at GCSEs achieving a 9 and then completed A Level Maths. Maths can be quite overwhelming and daunting, so Elizabeth would love to create an environment where maths is fun and practical. While Elizabeth loves math, some of her favourite activities are cooking and going for walks. As a Mathnasium instructor, Elizabeth is determined to help students improve their maths skills. She is ready to ignite the passion she has for math in all her students.

Deron Ravi

Instructor
Deron is an enthusiastic mathematician who is currently studying Chemical Engineering at Brunel University. He is passionate about the subject and is eager to motivate students to improve their skills. In addition to maths, Deron finds joy in playing chess and guitar. As a mathnasium instructor, he believes its Important to create a setting where asking questions are encouraged, and mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth, so that they can succeed in maths.

Audrey Kong

Audrey is currently a second year Chemical Engineering undergraduate at Imperial College London. Having received an A* in Maths in her A-Levels, she recognises the importance of the fundamentals of maths learnt from a young age, having once been a tutee herself. She is passionate about Mathematics and is keen to help students find maths enjoyable and reach their full potential in it. In her spare time, Audrey enjoys going to concerts, different flea markets and spending time with her friends and family!

Vivien Zhang

Instructor
Vivien is an instructor at Mathnasium of Notting Hill and is currently pursuing an MSci degree in Mathematics at University College London. With enthusiasm for her subject and teaching, she decided to join Mathnasium to bring the joy of learning maths to every student. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a maths tutor in private sectors and various charities for 2 years. The experience and passion she gained helped many students understand how fun math can be. Outside of her academic life, she is also interested in AI and NGOs. As a woman in STEM, she believes in the importance of encouraging everyone to achieve whatever they want in a strategic and positive way.

Iman Osman

Instructor
Iman is an instructor at Mathnasium of Notting Hill and is currently studying Medicine at Imperial College London. She loves maths and believes that everyone deserves to be taught it with as much fun as possible! Outside the classroom, Iman loves to climb and kayak, as well as working with multiple charities to further good causes. Her goal at Mathnasium is to impart her passion for maths to her students and give them the confidence to aim higher and excel in the subject, as well as discovering how maths benefits their life goals and ambitions!
