Milly

Operations & Education Liaison
Milly studied Animal Science and worked as a vet nurse for 2 years, but she has always loved Maths and thinks that it is the foundation of all knowledge and all life. In her spare time, she plays the piano, paints, and reads books about Maths & Mathematicians through the ages. Before working at Mathnasium, Milly spent a year in South Africa caring for injured wildlife but eventually wanted a more challenging and mentally stimulating occupation. She finds teaching children really rewarding and loves to see them developing a true understanding & enjoyment of Maths.

Nazzia

Assistant Manager
Nazzia enjoyed studying maths at University. After University she pursued a career in accountancy, and previously lived in the UAE for sixteen years. Nazzia loves the logical process of finding a solution to a problem that can be applied to maths and real day-to-day life. She really believes Maths skills give a positive outlook on life by instilling that every/most problems can be logically navigated to find a solution. Nazzia enjoys reading and helping her children with Maths and other activities. Helping children with Maths and watching them develop their skills is rewarding. But watching children grow to enjoy Maths is the most fulfilling part of working at Mathnasium!

Joseph

Lead Instructor
Joseph came to Mathnasium following a career in Analytical Chemistry after attaining degrees in Economics, Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. He feels that an understanding of Mathematics is one of the most important fundamental life skills and he enjoys teaching others to develop and hone their knowledge. Seeing a student grow and learn to enjoy Mathematics is incredibly rewarding to him. Joseph previously lived most of his life in the United States and only recently moved to London. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, scuba diving, reading, and golfing.

Philip

Lead Instructor
Philip studied Maths Stats and Operational Research at the University of Manchester. He then worked 15 years as a City Trader and then another 15 years working for a large American IT company. For the last part of his professional life, Philip wanted to try something completely different and as he loves Maths, teaching, and helping kids, Mathnasium ticked all his boxes! He is now enjoying the most fulfilling part of his career.

Michael

Instructor
Michael is in his first year of A-Levels, studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. He aspires to attend Cambridge University, hoping to study pure Maths. In his spare time, Michael enjoys football, basketball, and bodybuilding. Michael has helped his friends with Maths throughout his school life and has now decided to work for Mathnasium in order to expand on his ability to support others!

Fred

Instructor
Fred has just finished his A-Levels in Maths, Computer Science, and History. He is currently in his gap year and is hoping to pursue Maths with Computer Science at university next year. He enjoys solving problems and loves to help others get the same satisfaction out of Maths that he does. Fred has recently obtained his black belt in Taekwon-Do and enjoys playing video games in his spare time.

Farhan

Instuctor
Farhan enjoys studying and teaching Maths. Having previously tutored Maths & Mandarin for 3 years, he is excited to share his skills with his students. Cracking the answers to the most difficult Maths problems gives him great satisfaction. He has entered and received awards in competitive challenges such as the UKMT Maths Challenge and the British Physics Olympiad. Farhan is a swimmer, pianist, and competitive Karateka, preparing for his black belt grading. He enjoys reading 1800s novels and travelling abroad.

Tristan

Instructor
Tristan is starting his second year of A-Levels; he is studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Economics. He is planning to study Economics at university and likes using Maths to understand markets and the economy. Tristan enjoys helping others to learn Maths since he believes that it is the one language that everybody needs.

Ellie

Instructor
Ellie has just completed her A-Levels at the Henrietta Barnett School where she studied Mathematics, Chemistry, French, and Spanish. She aspires to pursue a career in Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing, an interdisciplinary field that combines Linguistics, Computer Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Besides her interests in human language and technology, Ellie is a competitive Irish dancer and has been successfully competing at the national and world championships level. Ellie's desire to share her love for Mathematics, problem solving, and intellectual challenge in a practical and meaningful way led her to apply for a position as a Maths instructor at Mathnasium.

Lizzie

Instructor
Lizzie is about to start her A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, and Physics. Lizzie loves the challenge of problem solving and successfully competes in Programming Competitions & Maths Olympiads. One day she hopes to represent the UK in the International Maths Olympiad! Besides her interest in mathematics and programming, Lizzie loves music and sports. She plays piano, flute, and saxophone, and is a competitive swimmer and rower. Working at Mathnasium is a dream job for Lizzie as she can share her passion for the subject with children. Seeing their enthusiasm and understanding is the best reward for her work.

Can

Instructor
Can is about to start his second year of A-Levels studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Chemistry and hopes to either pursue a degree in Chemistry or a joint Maths Computer Science degree. His favourite parts about Maths are difficult trigonometry and algebra. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the park and spending time with friends. He hopes to move out of London for university, aspiring for Oxford.
