Kanvi

Centre Manager

Kanvi holds a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics from Kings College London. During her time at university, Kanvi was the social events officer for the Physics Society, encouraging women to join STEM-based fields through organising events. She also became a published researcher, assisting in the article 'Ephemeris Refinement of Transiting Exoplanets II'. She has always excelled at Maths and finds it amazing how you can solve one problem in several different ways. Teaching Maths is a way for her to share her passion and interest in this subject with students. Kanvi is an experienced member of the private education sector as she has been a tutor since 2021, educating students from a wide range of year groups. During her time at Mathnasium, Kanvi has felt very strongly about enabling our students to achieve what they’re capable of and greater. This has led Kanvi to be a valued member of our team for three years and she aims to continue to spread her love for Maths as she shifts from Lead Instructor to Centre Manager. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and playing badminton, but on most days you’ll find Kanvi watching her favourite animes and K-dramas.

Sunny

Regional Manager

Sunny holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from Kings College London. Sunny enjoyed her time studying statistics at University but her favourite part of Maths is problem-solving. Additionally, having found a passion for her modules on child development and organisational change, she chose to pursue a career in the private education sector. Her interest in the education sector grew during her experience working in schools, in which she was able to teach different year groups a range of different subjects. Alongside this, she has had a number of customer service roles which gave her the opportunity to interact with families and make a child's day better through fun and passion. Sunny aims to continue to spread this joy across multiple Mathnasiums. She believes it is a great place to help build a child's confidence due to its positive learning atmosphere! When she is not working, you can catch Sunny spending time with her friends and family, watching movies or reading a good book.

Kiran

Assistant Centre Manager

Kiran holds a diploma from Kings College London in Biomedical Science. During her studies, Kiran often used maths to interpret information and analyse data. She believes a strong understanding of mathematics can open up many opportunities for young students. Kiran thoroughly enjoys teaching Algebra due to the logical thought process needed to understand it.  As an assistant, Kiran uses her strong knowledge of maths and ability to interact with kids of all ages to encourage the students to develop a passion and confidence for the subject. She ensures all students have the right material needed to succeed during their sessions and guarantees each child gets the support and attention required to become well-rounded mathematicians. Outside of work Kiran enjoys watching films and listening to podcasts.

Holly

Lead Instructor

Holly is a student of Physics at Queen Mary University. She is passionate about the problem-solving nature of maths and wants to make it enjoyable for students by creating a welcoming and safe environment. She aims to help students excel in maths and learn to love it. Holly has been a member of our team for two years and has always ensured each child leaves smiling and feeling confident in their mathematical ability. In her spare time, she enjoys listening, performing and making music. She also likes watching movies, TV shows, and baking for her friends and family.

Najma

Lead Instructor

Najma is a student of Mathematics at Queen Mary University and is eager to pass on her strong understanding and love for Maths. Najma is also keen to always make Maths enjoyable and help students gain confidence through problem-solving. Najma has been a valued team member for two years, allowing her to see multiple students through many years at school. She prides herself in recognising a student's needs and assisting them accordingly, whether that is with content, exam support or revision tips. In her free time, Najma likes to watch documentaries, play board games, watch Marvel movies (especially Spiderman) and spend time with her friends.

Tirth

Instructor

Tirth holds a BSc in Economics from Queen Mary University and is pursuing an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change at the London School of Economics. During his studies, Tirth used mathematics daily for statistical analysis and data interpretation. He believes that a solid understanding of mathematics can empower students and open doors to countless opportunities in any career path they choose. As a tutor, Tirth is passionate about teaching children and tailoring lessons to meet each student’s unique needs. He aims to instil confidence and a love for maths in students of all ages, helping them realise the subject’s relevance in their future endeavours. Outside of work, Tirth enjoys listening to music from various genres and watching football.

Samhita

Instructor

Samhita holds a BSc from King’s College London in Astrophysics and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Space Science and Engineering at UCL. With her strong academic background, she sees maths as the language of the universe; beautifully logical and essential to understanding the world around us. She is passionate about helping students see the simplicity and elegance in maths, finding joy in the moments when it all "clicks". Teaching maths the Mathnasium way allows her to break down concepts to students to help them discover just how fun and satisfying maths can be. Samhita’s extensive experience working with children through her volunteering efforts has strengthened her ability to engage with students of all ages and inspire their confidence in learning. In her free time, Samhita enjoys watching Formula 1, reading books, and journalling.

Ali

Instructor
Ali is currently a thrid-year student studying Mathematics at King's College London. Due to his academic achievements, Ali previously was on a scholar's programme for the University of Cambridge. As well as this, he has a gregarious nature. Ali believes that through his ability, passion and personality he will be able to cultivate a younger generation of mathematicians to excel. In his spare time, Ali likes to play basketball, talk with his friends, and "most importantly" binge-watch anime.

Sofia

Instructor

Sofia is currently an undergraduate student at UCL studying Crime and Security Science. She has always had a passion for maths, stemming from a deep-founded love for logical problem solving, which she now incorporates into her programming modules within her course. After spending more than 2 years in various tutoring jobs, Sofia has found a great fondness for helping and observing children grow in their confidence and mathematical abilities. Outside of work Sofia enjoys recreational activities, such as reading and playing lacrosse.

Boni

Instructor

Boni is an A-level student passionate about Maths and Chemistry. Working at two Mathnasiums, Boni loves helping students with their mathematical journeys, helping them grow and love maths at the same time. He hopes to pursue a mathematics degree in the future and teaching kids has really helped to build his own foundations as well as the students he teaches! In his free time, Boni enjoys spending time with friends, going out to eat and watching Korean dramas. 

Lyvvia

Instructor

After having scored a Grade 9 in her Maths GCSE, Lyvvia is currently studying both Economics and Maths at A-Levels. She thoroughly enjoys tackling multi-step problem-solving questions and wishes to build confidence in students so they can engage and enjoy these complex questions too. Lyvvia presently studying maths allows her to empathise with the student's perspective of being taught this subject, granting her the ability to express concepts in a way students understand. When she's not at work, Lyvvia loves music, especially making instrumental music and playing the guitar.
