Rab is an experienced Mathnasium Multi-centre Owner, with previous experience including setting up and growing a successful Mathnasium Centre in Harrow. His experience prior to Mathnasium includes Business Performance Manager, European Markets at HSBC, Financial Advisory at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), and employment as a Strategic Finance Manager at Commonwealth Bank (whilst living in Australia). Rab is a Certified Chartered Accountant. Having an analytical background as well as being both strong and naturally interested in Maths, Rab places significant emphasis on Mathematical confidence, and how this skill set is critical in a world where there is increasing uncertainty around ever-changing job requirements. Rab’s wife in fact is a Consultant, focusing specifically on the upskilling requirements for the ‘Workforce of the Future’, so setting up Generation Z and Generation Alpha for careers of the future, is very close to home! Outside of work, Rab enjoys attempting to stay fit, playing golf, and watching Arsenal (scrape) a win!
Oscar holds a BSc in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Nottingham. With a strong foundation in Maths and Further Maths at A level, Oscar has always been drawn to the logical beauty and problem-solving nature of mathematics. During his time at university, he took part in volunteering initiatives in local schools, supporting students in the classroom and helping to foster a positive learning environment. He also gained experience through exam invigilation, giving him valuable insight into the academic system and student needs. Oscar has a background in customer service, which has helped him develop excellent communication skills and a patient, approachable manner, qualities he brings into every session. He believes that every child can develop a love for Maths, and he’s passionate about helping students build both confidence and curiosity in the subject. In his spare time, Oscar enjoys playing table tennis, catching up with friends, and watching movies, his all-time favourite being The Lion King.
Sunny holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from King’s College London. With a love for problem-solving and a passion for child development and organisational change, she pursued a career in private education. Her experience teaching various year groups and working in customer service deepened her interest in helping children learn and grow. Now at Mathnasium, Sunny is excited to help boost students’ confidence in a positive learning environment. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and reading.
Jess is a proud graduate of the London School of Economics. She began her Mathnasium journey as the Centre Manager at Mathnasium of Ealing, where she developed a deep passion for helping students grow in confidence and ability through maths. A long-time fan of the Mathnasium Method, Jess is now focused on supporting centres across the region in delivering outstanding experiences for families and driving continued growth. Outside of Mathnasium, Jess enjoys socialising with her friends and watching tv.
Harini is currently a university student studying maths with finance and economics, she loves teaching and engaging with children, making sure they learn something new and enjoy maths. She really enjoys the satisfaction of solving tricky problems step by step and finding patterns using logic. Harini finds it rewarding when students become confident in questions they were struggling in and seeing their progress over time. In her spare time, she enjoys playing cricket, learning a new song on the violin or painting while listening to music.
Kanvi holds a BSc in Astrophysics from Kings College London. At University, Kanvi was a part of the Physics society, encouraging women to join STEM-based fields and alongside organising events. She has always excelled at Maths and finds it amazing how you can solve one problem in a number of different ways. Teaching maths is a way for her to share her passion and interest in this subject with students. Kanvi feels very strongly about enabling our students to achieve what they’re capable of and greater. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and playing badminton, but on most days you’ll find Kanvi watching her favourite animes and K-dramas.
Ali holds a BSc in Mathematics from King’s College London. During university, he was part of the prestigious scholar's programme for the University of Cambridge in recognition of his academic excellence. With over 5 years of teaching experience at Mathnasium, from Harrow to now, Watford, Ali has supported students of all ages in building confidence and mastering maths.
He’s known for his fun, energetic teaching style and ability to make even the trickiest topics feel manageable. His students love his humour and the engaging way he brings maths to life. Ali is passionate about helping young learners realise their potential and inspiring a genuine love for the subject.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, spending time with friends, and most importantly, binge-watching anime.
Varun is currently an A Level student at Parmiter's studying Maths, Economics, and Sociology, with plans to pursue a degree in Accounting and Finance at a top university. He aspires to build a career in the finance industry as he enjoys applying mathematical thinking to real-world situations. Having achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, Varun is passionate about helping students unlock their full potential in the subject, while making learning engaging and enjoyable. Outside of tutoring, he stays active by playing sports such as golf and football and enjoys spending time with friends.
Yumna has recently completed her A Levels in Maths, Economics, and History at Watford Grammar School for Girls and plans to study Economics and Finance at a top university. She has a long-standing passion for Maths, particularly enjoying the logical thinking and problem-solving it requires. Yumna believes that Maths is not just about finding the right answer, but about understanding the process and building confidence along the way. She is excited to begin tutoring, aiming to share her enthusiasm and help students discover that Maths can be both enjoyable and rewarding. Outside of academics, she enjoys baking, watching films and TV shows, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Zishaan is currently studying A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, with aspirations to pursue Chemical Engineering at a top university. He has a long-standing passion for Maths and the Sciences, and has enjoyed problem-solving and critical thinking from a young age. With experience supporting and educating students, Zishaan takes a fun, engaging, and multifaceted approach to teaching. In his spare time, he enjoys playing cricket and football, as well as reading books.
Emma holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool and has always had a strong passion for maths and problem-solving. During university, Emma led tutorials for younger students, where they developed a love for helping students build confidence and enjoyment in maths. Outside of teaching, they enjoy knitting and crocheting their own clothes in their spare time.
