James is an experienced Mathnasium Multi-centre Owner of Whetstone, Barnet, and St Albans. James holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Durham University and later qualified as a Chartered Accountant, working at MHA MacIntyre Hudson where he specialised in audit, accounts, and corporate finance.
Having struggled with maths as a child, James recognises the importance of understanding the core principles of mathematics and the career opportunities that can follow. He is enthusiastic about helping children understand maths so they have the confidence to realise their potential.
James is a keen sportsman and enjoys watching rugby (provided England are winning!). He also enjoys battling his age in a 5-a-side football league.
Nico has been working with children since the age of 14, when he began volunteering with his local council. He achieved an A in A-Level Maths before earning a First-Class degree in Film Business from MetFilm School. Nico has nearly a decade of experience working with young people, including four years teaching at summer camps in America, where he progressed to Head of Department for Outdoor Education. He is passionate about helping students build confidence in maths through positive, engaging learning. Outside of Mathnasium, Nico enjoys travelling, playing Dungeons & Dragons, watching films, and sharing his favourite animal facts.
Jess is a proud graduate of the London School of Economics and began her Mathnasium journey as Centre Manager at Mathnasium of Ealing. During her time at the centre, she developed a strong passion for helping students build confidence and strengthen their maths skills through the Mathnasium Method. Jess now supports centres across the region, helping teams deliver outstanding learning experiences for students and families while driving continued growth. Outside of Mathnasium, Jess enjoys socialising with friends, watching TV, and spending time exploring new places.
Sunny holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from King’s College London. She previously worked as a Mathnasium Centre Manager, gaining valuable experience supporting students and helping them develop confidence in maths. Sunny now supports the wider Mathnasium network and is passionate about helping centres create positive, engaging learning environments where students can strengthen their maths skills and thrive. Outside of Mathnasium, Sunny enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and reading.
Elsa is currently studying Accountancy at Queen Mary University and has been a valued member of the Mathnasium team for the past two years. With a strong academic background involving maths and numbers, she is passionate about helping students develop confidence in their mathematical abilities. Elsa takes a patient and engaging approach to teaching, making challenging concepts feel approachable and rewarding while celebrating each student’s progress. She enjoys creating a positive learning environment where students can thrive. Outside of Mathnasium, Elsa enjoys singing R&B music, going on long walks, and spending time in nature.
Nikhita is currently studying Law at the University of Law and brings several years of experience working at Mathnasium. During her time at the centre, she has developed a strong passion for helping students build confidence and enjoy learning maths. Nikhita believes that a strong mathematical foundation can open doors to future opportunities and takes pride in making challenging concepts feel approachable and engaging. She is committed to ensuring every student feels supported and motivated to progress. Outside of Mathnasium, Nikhita enjoys swimming, following Formula 1, and spending time with friends.
Eva is currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Leeds, having achieved A grades in both Maths and Chemistry at A-Level. During university holidays, she returns to Mathnasium, where she enjoys using her strong mathematical background to support students in developing their skills and confidence. Eva is passionate about helping students believe in their abilities, tackle challenging problems and feel proud of their progress. She finds it particularly rewarding to see students grow in confidence and become more comfortable with maths. Outside of Mathnasium, Eva enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing netball.
Leo is currently studying Mathematics at the University of Warwick, where he continues to develop his passion for the subject. During university holidays, he returns to Mathnasium to share his mathematical knowledge and support students in building their confidence and understanding. Leo finds teaching incredibly rewarding and particularly enjoys seeing the “lightbulb moments” when a challenging concept finally clicks for a student. He is passionate about making maths engaging and helping students recognise their own progress. Outside of Mathnasium, Leo is a huge Mansfield Town FC fan and proudly supports the team through every high and low.
Yekta has been a valued member of the Mathnasium team for several years, gaining extensive experience supporting students with their maths learning. He is passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their mathematical skills and develop a genuine enthusiasm for the subject. Known for his sense of humour, Yekta brings creativity and energy to his teaching, making challenging concepts feel engaging and approachable. He finds it especially rewarding to see students overcome challenges and recognise their own progress. Outside of Mathnasium, Yekta enjoys reading, playing chess, and playing the piano.
Isabel is currently studying Maths, Chemistry and Biology at sixth form, giving her a strong academic foundation in mathematics and problem-solving. She enjoys helping students prepare for tests, tackle challenging topics and build confidence in their mathematical abilities. Isabel brings energy and enthusiasm to her teaching and is passionate about making maths enjoyable and accessible for every student. She takes pride in recognising and celebrating each student’s progress, no matter how big or small. Outside of Mathnasium, Isabel plays the flute, enjoys acting, and loves spending time with friends.
