Nico

Centre Manager

Nico achieved an A in A Level Maths before earning a First-Class degree in Film Business from MetFilm School. Despite pursuing a degree in Film Business, Nico has maintained a strong passion for mathematics and problem-solving, with his academic background giving him a solid foundation in the subject. His passion for education began at the age of 14, when he started volunteering with his local council, and has continued throughout his career.

Nico brings nearly a decade of experience working with young people to his role at Mathnasium. This includes four years teaching at summer camps in America, where he progressed to Head of Department for Outdoor Education. These experiences have helped him develop strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills, as well as a genuine understanding of how to create positive and engaging learning environments. At Mathnasium, Nico is passionate about helping students build confidence in Maths and supporting them as they develop their skills.

Outside of Mathnasium, Nico enjoys travelling, watching films, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and sharing his favourite animal facts.

Jess

Regional Sales Manager

Jess graduated with a degree in Sociology from the London School of Economics after attending Harrow International School Bangkok, where she developed a strong academic foundation and a passion for learning. She has been part of the Mathnasium team for over four years, beginning her journey as Centre Manager at Mathnasium of Ealing before progressing into her current regional role.

Drawing on her experience supporting families and leading a centre, Jess enjoys understanding each child's strengths, challenges, and goals before guiding parents through the Mathnasium Method and its personalised approach to maths education. She is passionate about helping children build confidence in maths and ensuring every family feels informed, supported, and excited from their very first conversation with Mathnasium.

Outside of Mathnasium, Jess enjoys spending time with friends and relaxing with a good TV series.

Sunny

Regional Operations Manager

Sunny holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from King's College London. Through her studies in statistics, child development, and behavioural science, she developed a strong understanding of how children learn and how positive learning environments support long-term success.

Sunny began her Mathnasium journey at the Harrow centre over three and a half years ago and now supports six centres, helping maintain exceptional educational standards, develop instructors, and deliver personalised maths education. Passionate about helping children build confidence in maths, she is committed to ensuring every student receives an engaging, supportive learning experience. 

Outside of Mathnasium, Sunny enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching films, and reading a good book.

Vedant

Lead Tutor

Vedant is set to study Economics at the University of Cambridge, one of the world’s leading universities, having taken a gap year before beginning his degree this September. He has been part of the Mathnasium Whetstone team for almost a year, bringing a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. Vedant particularly enjoys helping students recognise that they are capable of far more than they initially believe. He loves seeing the moment a challenging concept finally clicks and watching their confidence grow. His experience at Mathnasium has strengthened his patience, empathy, and ability to adapt his explanations to suit different learning styles, while his friendly approach helps students feel comfortable and supported.

Outside of Mathnasium, Vedant enjoys spending time with friends and making the most of his gap year before beginning his studies at Cambridge.

Elsa

Lead Tutor

Elsa is currently studying Accountancy at Queen Mary University of London, where she continues to develop her strong interest in numbers, analytical thinking, and problem-solving. She has been a valued member of the Mathnasium team for three years, bringing experience and a genuine passion for helping students develop confidence in Maths. Elsa takes a patient and engaging approach to teaching, breaking down challenging concepts and celebrating each student’s progress. She enjoys creating a positive environment where students can thrive and enjoy learning Maths.

Outside of Mathnasium, Elsa enjoys singing R&B music, going on long walks, and spending time in nature.

Nikhita

Lead Tutor

Nikhita is a Law graduate from the University of Law and has been a valued member of the Mathnasium team for two years. Her academic background has developed strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills, which she brings to her approach to teaching Maths. Nikhita is passionate about helping students build confidence, making challenging concepts feel approachable and encouraging them to enjoy the learning process. She takes pride in supporting each student’s progress and creating a positive environment where they feel motivated to improve.

Outside of Mathnasium, Nikhita enjoys swimming, following Formula 1, and spending time with friends.

Isabel

Tutor

Isabel is currently studying A Levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, giving her a strong academic foundation across mathematics and the sciences. She enjoys helping students prepare for tests, tackle challenging topics, and develop greater confidence in their mathematical abilities. At Mathnasium, Isabel brings energy and enthusiasm to her teaching, creating a fun and approachable environment where students feel comfortable learning and asking questions. She particularly enjoys recognising and celebrating each student’s progress, whether it is a small breakthrough or a major achievement.

Outside of Mathnasium, Isabel plays the flute, enjoys acting, and loves spending time with friends.

Komila

Tutor

Komila is studying Robotics Engineering at Queen Mary University of London, where she combines mathematics, physics, technology, and problem-solving. She has always enjoyed approaching challenging problems from different angles and finding logical ways to reach a solution. During sixth form, Komila mentored and tutored Physics students, helping them understand new concepts and develop confidence in their abilities. At Mathnasium, she brings this experience into her teaching, supporting students as they strengthen their Maths skills and learn to approach problems independently.

Outside of Mathnasium, Komila coaches and competes in traditional archery, enjoys painting and reading, and attends Muay Thai classes with hopes of competing in the future.

Rudraksh

Tutor

Rudraksh is currently completing his A Levels at Dame Alice Owen’s School, a highly regarded and academically selective school, studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Geography. He finds guiding students through mathematical problems particularly rewarding, especially when a challenging concept finally clicks. Rudraksh believes Maths is about more than solving questions on paper and enjoys showing students how mathematical thinking can be applied to problems beyond the classroom. He creates a positive and engaging learning environment where students can develop both their skills and confidence in Maths.

Outside of Mathnasium, Rudraksh is an avid Formula 1 fan and tries to watch almost every race weekend.

Dilan

Tutor

Dilan is currently studying A Levels in Maths, English Literature, and History at The Latymer School, a highly regarded selective school, with aspirations to pursue a career in Law. Having experienced a lack of confidence in Maths himself, Dilan understands how important encouragement and clear explanations can be. At Mathnasium, he focuses on developing students’ problem-solving skills and independence while making lessons fun and engaging. He particularly enjoys seeing the moment a concept finally clicks and celebrating the pride students feel when they recognise how far they have progressed.

Outside of Mathnasium, Dilan enjoys reading fiction, watching Marvel films, and spending time with friends.

Sofia

Tutor

Sofia is currently studying A Levels in Business, Psychology, and Maths at Woodhouse College, a highly regarded sixth-form college, with aspirations to study Business Management and Marketing at a leading university. She enjoys exploring how Maths is used in everyday life and applying logical thinking to different problems. At Mathnasium, Sofia particularly enjoys working with young people and breaking down challenging concepts into smaller, achievable steps. She aims to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence, enjoy learning, and recognise their own progress.

Outside of Mathnasium, Sofia enjoys performing and volunteering with children and young people at Chickenshed, an inclusive local theatre company.

Heward

Tutor

Hewad is currently studying A Levels in Biology, Maths, Chemistry, and Drama, alongside completing an EPQ, with aspirations to study Medicine at the University of Oxford. He has an exceptional mathematical background, achieving almost full marks in his GCSE Maths examinations. Hewad is passionate about sharing his enthusiasm for Maths and is known for bringing plenty of energy and fun to his sessions. He enjoys making challenging concepts approachable while encouraging students to become more independent and confident in their abilities.

Outside of Mathnasium, Hewad enjoys musical theatre, horror games and films, playing the piano and guitar, singing, and acting. 

Filippo

Tutor

Filippo is currently studying A Levels in Maths, Economics, and Spanish, with aspirations to study Economics at a leading university. He has always had a strong understanding of mathematics and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others. At Mathnasium, Filippo combines his passion for Maths with a friendly and engaging approach, helping students understand challenging concepts while making learning enjoyable. He particularly enjoys seeing students make progress and develop the confidence to tackle problems independently. Filippo is committed to helping students reach their potential while creating a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Outside of Mathnasium, Filippo enjoys spending time with friends, playing sports, exercising, and gaming.

Sahil

Tutor

Sahil is currently studying A Levels in Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry, having always worked beyond his expected level in Maths. He particularly enjoys proof and algebra, appreciating how these fundamental areas underpin so many of the concepts within mathematics. At Mathnasium, Sahil enjoys sharing his enthusiasm for the subject and helping students tackle challenging problems while developing their confidence. He hopes to study Maths and Sports Science at university, combining his academic interests with his passion for sport.

Outside of Mathnasium, Sahil plays Sunday League football and enjoys darts, cycling, and a variety of other sports.

Riya

Tutor

Riya is currently studying A Levels in Maths, Physics, and History, with aspirations to study Aerospace Engineering at a leading university. Her subject choices have strengthened her analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills, while her own studies have given her experience with a wide range of revision and learning techniques. At Mathnasium, Riya enjoys using these strategies to make challenging Maths concepts easier to understand and helping students build confidence in their abilities. She creates a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and progressing at their own pace.

Outside of Mathnasium, Riya enjoys travelling, reading, and watching films and TV series.

Yekta

Tutor

Yekta is currently studying Economics at the University of York, where he continues to develop his analytical and problem-solving skills. He has been a valued member of the Mathnasium team for several years and returns during university holidays to support students with their Maths. Yekta is passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their mathematical skills, and develop a genuine enjoyment of the subject. Known for his humour and energetic personality, he brings plenty of fun to his sessions while making challenging concepts feel approachable. He particularly enjoys seeing students overcome difficulties and recognise their own progress.

Outside of Mathnasium, Yekta enjoys reading, playing chess, and playing the piano.

Eva

Tutor

Eva is studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Leeds, building on her strong academic background after achieving A grades in both A Level Maths and Chemistry. Her degree combines mathematics, science, and problem-solving, which she enjoys bringing into her teaching at Mathnasium. Eva returns to the centre during university holidays, where she supports students in developing their mathematical skills and confidence. She particularly enjoys helping students tackle challenging problems and seeing them become more comfortable with Maths. Eva is passionate about encouraging students to believe in their abilities and feel proud of their progress.

Outside of Mathnasium, Eva enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing netball.
